WHO IS NICK KARCHER?
Chicago-based pop-rock artist Nick Karcher is set to release his new single, "BODY BAG," on July 17, 2026. An electronic rock anthem soaked in horror imagery, the track finds Karcher continuing to establish his world where spectacle, self-awareness, and larger-than-life storytelling collide.
Driven by towering guitars and an explosive chorus, "BODY BAG" plays like the soundtrack to its own 1980s slasher film. The warning signs are impossible to miss. The audience already knows how it ends. Even the sole survivor is obvious from the start. Across the track, Karcher leaves little doubt about the role he's playing. Co-written and produced alongside frequent collaborators Michael Bono (Avril Lavigne, Blink-182) and Rayven Burdette (Lake Drive), "BODY BAG" isn't interested in hiding its villain—like the best slashers, it acknowledges that everyone is clearly walking toward it.
"'BODY BAG' started with the idea of treating a relationship like a horror movie," says Karcher. "Everyone can see the red flags. Everyone knows it's a terrible idea. The fun is that everyone knows better."
Sonically, "BODY BAG" thrives on escalation. Airy, almost weightless verses gradually tighten into a more aggressive vocal delivery before exploding into a massive electronic rock chorus. Stuttering vocal effects and pitch-shifted textures provide bursts of electronic chaos that weave through the track from start to finish, giving the song the restless energy of a horror film racing toward its final act.
With the final leg of his Welcome to the LOSERS Club Tour underway and a debut EP on the horizon, Karcher enters the next chapter of his career with growing momentum. Following a collaboration with We The Kings, more than half a million streams, and the emergence of a devoted fan community known as The Losers Club, "BODY BAG" feels less like a departure than a natural progression—another step deeper into the strange, theatrical world his audience has come to expect.
"BODY BAG" hits all major streaming platforms on July 17, 2026.
